The Mission of the Global EMS Forum is:

"The Global EMS Forum is a gathering together of like-minded health care professionals and providers caring for patients in the fields of pre-hospital, out-of-hospital, ambulance and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) from diverse environments who believe that the interests of these patients are best served by shared experience, knowledge and practice between providers from different systems globally. The aim of this collaboration is to improve the care that can be provided to save life and prevent further injury or illness, and caring for those who are in urgent need."

Enhancing EMS care globally through shared experience, knowledge and practice

The Global EMS Forum will be holding a number of interactive, virtual, global electronic seminars each year - these are "Webinars", and it is possible for anyone anywhere in the world with an internet connection and a computer to participate in real time in shared global dialogue on cross cutting themes in EMS.(see links for example Webinars below )

Global EMS Forum Scientific Meeting Presentations


The World Congress on Disaster and Emergency Medicine in Amsterdam May 16th 2007 and the Mediterranean Emergency Medicine Meeting in Sorrento introduced the Global EMS Forum to a broad audience - with two poster presentations and a breakfast introduction at WADEM and a poster presentation at MEMC.

The Global EMS Forum was launched at a number of sites globally during in 2007: NAEMSP Conference - Naples, Florida in January 2007 and WADEM - Amsterdam, Netherlands, May 2007.

The first Global EMS Forum launch and introduction meeting took place in Naples, Florida at the 2007 NAEMSP Conference - Friday, January 12, 2007

International EMS colleagues interested in global dialogue, met in Amsterdam at WADEM in May 2007.

The next networking meetings will be at NAEMSP in Arizona in January and ICEM in San Fransisco in April
